Hand Dyed Merino Wool Yarn - Tawny

All Elliott and May yarns are lovingly hand-dyed, by Katie, with natural plant materials. Tawny is naturally dyed with black walnut hulls. These colours are exclusive to MamaOwl in collaboration with Elliott and May, and we just love them. 

Fibre Context: 100% Superwash Merino Wool

Yarn Weight: DK, it’s a 4ply construction.

Materage: Approx 225m per skein

Tension: 3.75 to 4.5mm needle suits this DK yarn - 22 Sts x 28 rows, 10cm swatch sample using 4mm needles.

Each skein: 100g

Many natural dyes are sensitive to varying pH and mineral levels. It is recommended to use a pH neutral soap when washing your yarn and finished garment. Gently wash in cool/warm water and dry garments flat, out of direct sunlight to prevent undue fading.
